The AHPA WA Branch is offering free online Acknowledgement of Country training for members!

Today many organisations, businesses and schools are implementing Acknowledgements of Country - and not many people know why, defeating the purpose of what it is meant to represent in the first place.

Most people present an Acknowledgement of Country read off a script, ad lib one they’ve heard or, worst case scenario, treat it as part of housekeeping.

Acknowledge This! provide professional development training on how to give a meaningful Acknowledgement of Country.

Lead by Rhys and Emma, you will learn the first steps in how to create a genuine and authentic Acknowledgement of Country about the place, people and position you’re in, how to articulate it and how to make it meaningful.

You will walk away with:

·       A deeper understanding of what an Acknowledgement of Country is

·       A deeper understanding of each part of an Acknowledgement of Country

·       Your own personalised Acknowledgement of Country format to adapt for any gatherings where you want to Acknowledge the lands you are meeting on.

This training is FREE for AHPA WA Branch members, but hurry, spots are limited! Event registrations close Sunday, 12th December, or until full.

Due to a limited number of tickets available, any no-shows will incur a cost. Once tickets are sold out, we will have a waitlist for those that miss out.

If you can no longer attend, please email adminwa@healthpromotion.org.au as soon as possible so that someone else can attend.
